Privacy policy

This policy explains what information the app and this website use, where it is kept, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

Who we are

Jet Lagging is operated by [Company legal name], [registered address, Dubai, United Arab Emirates]. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean [Company legal name]. It covers the website at jetlagg.ing and the app at app.jetlagg.ing.

What we use

Trip details. Where you’re flying from and to, travel dates, flight times, layovers, delays you enter, trip style such as Work or Vacation, any commitment you add, and which plan steps you’ve ticked off.

Your sleep profile. Whether you’re a morning or evening person, how you sleep on planes, your usual bedtime and wake time, and optional choices such as a fixed work schedule or melatonin timing. We use these only to time your plan. They are not used to make any health judgement, and Jet Lagging is not a medical service.

App settings. Time and distance units, reminder choices and similar preferences.

Your sign-in details. If you continue with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us. We use them to identify your account and show who is signed in. We do not get your Google password and do not access your Gmail, contacts, calendar or any other Google data. If you sign in with your email address, we use it to create your account and to send you one-time sign-in codes. We don’t send marketing emails, and there is no password to store.

Messages you send us. If you write to us through the contact form on this website or on WhatsApp, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply.

Technical information. Like any website, our hosts record basic technical data such as your IP address and browser when pages load.

Where it is kept

In your account: in a database hosted by Supabase. Access rules in the database mean each account can only read its own trips and profile.

On your device: your browser keeps your sign-in session and some app settings so the app loads quickly. Trips made in the app before accounts were required are moved into your account the first time you sign in on that device.

Services involved

To run the app and this website, some requests go to the services below, which handle them under their own privacy policies.

Some buttons open other services only when you tap them. WhatsApp is used for hotel and stay requests, where a message with your dates is prepared and nothing is sent until you press send, and Google Flights is used for flight searches. Anything you send there is handled by those services and the people you contact.

Our service providers may store and process information outside the United Arab Emirates. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer.

Reminders and calendar files

In-app and browser reminders are created on your device. “Add to my calendar” creates a calendar file on your device, and once you import it, your calendar app handles it.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept until you delete it or ask us to delete your account. Deleted trips are removed from the database straight away.

Your choices

• Delete a trip: in the app, from the trip or in Settings.
• Delete everything: Settings, then clear all data, which removes your trips and settings.
• Delete your account: message us on WhatsApp at +971 4 220 21 33 or email us at softlandingmail@gmail.com with the email address on your account. To protect you, we confirm the request is really yours before deleting anything, by sending a one-time code to that address.
• Remove Google access: if you signed in with Google, you can also remove Jet Lagging’s access in your Google Account, under Security, then Third-party apps and services.
• See or correct your data: everything we store is visible and editable in the app, or ask us on WhatsApp for a copy.

Children

Jet Lagging isn’t intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we’ll also say so in the app.

Cookies and storage

Cookies and browser storage are small pieces of data saved on your device.

In the app

The app keeps your sign-in session and some settings in your browser’s storage, so it loads quickly and remembers you. Without this, you would have to sign in every time.

On this website

This website uses only the cookies it needs to work and, if you leave one, to remember a comment or a login. We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t use tracking or analytics tools on the website or in the app.

Your choices

You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block them, you’ll be signed out of the app and some parts may stop working.
